The client has asked us to investigate the likely impact of opening a new store on several of its nearby existing stores.
The client was also looking to estimate the predicted performance of the new store and to identify where it should look to target new business in the area.
The Solution
The client gave us loyalty data for shoppers in its existing stores with a full address and spending information. These addresses were cleaned and geocoded. This provided insight into the trading areas and penetration patterns for the existing stores. Based on this analysis, we were able to estimate the impact of the new store modelled trading area on existing franchisee revenue.
